Lincoln Center Plaza is being transformed into a country named Lunarus on the far side of a moon named Anomaly that orbits a planet very much like our own named Hetrae. From time to time, as the universe continues to expand and dimensional realities shift and slide, Lunarus and her nine Lunar cities become visible to beings of other worlds. August 17th, 2000, the time of a full moon in New York City, is just such a moment.
Each city has its own quality, language and customs, a Mayor, various ambassadors and other officials. The countryside outside of the cities is filled with various characters, some of whom are the inhabitants of the cities themselves, travelling on business or pleasure to other cities or simply enjoying the countryside in their own unique manner. Others are Archetypal Beings, who dwell in their own realms and have their own duties and missions. Many of them also have special powers and secret information about the future. Others are carefree Moonstels. Still others are visitors from places beyond the Lunarus. These visitors are very welcome and are invited to interact with the inhabitants of the Lunarus countryside and cities.
In the time of Lunarus Visibility, a gala procession is taking place, after which an oracle is cast. The birth of a divine being- somewhere, sometime during the next seven hours in one of the cities of Lunarus is predicted. City dwellers, Archetypal Beings, Moonstrels and Visitors alike may become Pilgrims in order to participate in the divine event.

Archetypal Beings are larger than life types who dwell in their own realms and have their own duties and missions. Many of them also have special powers and secret information about the future. Ambassadors are inhabitants of cities who move around a lot, carrying greetings and diplomatic messages between cities. Moonstrels are comparatively simple sorts, wandering beings, often music makers and/or singers, who love life and who eschew larger intentions and responsibilities. They have their own codes of honor. Mayors are in charge of details pertaining to cities. They make proclamations from time to time and do various kinds of politicking. Moonbodies are watery, tidal , and travel in a circle which any pilgrim in need may enter, to receive a healing bath of sound and movement. Moonbodies also incite dancing and sing lullabies whenever the necessity arises. The Accordion Fan Walk is a simple yet powerful movement-meditation using our own breathing and the breath and sound of the concertina. The only requirements for participation are that you enjoy listening and walking/moving with awareness. The walk is slow and has the quality of a stalking animal. You DO NOT have to have any dance or music training; but of course all artists of all disciplines are welcome. People from all "walks" of life are encouraged to join us. |
